The bike in detail.
The Astr offers all the features of the Astr RS at an affordable price: from aerodynamic improvements to modern gravity geometry.
The Astr is ready for any quick run or gravel race on any type of terrain. Just like the Astr RS, the Astr has a tyre height of 47 - 52 mm (52 millimeters with a setup 1x and 47 millimeters with a setup 2x) for greater grip and comfort.
A modern performance geometry requires greater stability due to increasingly rough terrain and higher speeds. The steering angle of 71.5 degrees ensures faster steering. The ASTR has a steeper saddle tube (74 degrees), which improves uphill performance and power transfer compared to a less steep saddle tube.
The product developers have kept the shortest possible lining to accommodate tires up to 52 mm without losing the sense of acceleration reactivity. In addition, the central movement is positioned lower than the bikes centered on comfort, to offer greater stability at high speeds. Finally, the steering tube is lower, allowing a more aerodynamic driving position. In short, the result is a modern and competitive geometry, designed for ambitious ravel runners.
With the addition of the Astr to the range, Ridley underlines its ambition to offer everyone the opportunity to own an Astr: from ambitious amateurs to more committed professionals.
