Bike pre-assembling: when to choose workshop service

The three possibilities to be distinguished

Bikes CUBE are always shipped preassembled by the workshop Doctorbike, without buying an additional service. The other bicycles are shipped in the original packaging of the manufacturer, except for optional pre-assembling when available.

The collection in the store is another way of receiving: for bikes withdrawn in the shop preparation is included. Choosing pre-assembling for a shipment and choosing the pickup are different decisions.

How much it costs and how it is added

Optional pre-assembling costs 25 € VAT included for bike. If you select it, it must appear in the summary as a service distinct from the price of your bike and shipping. If you purchase multiple bikes, check which specimens you requested it for.

Before payment check the complete summary. A bike CUBE must not request this option for a fee: its pre-assembling is already included.

When it can be the most comfortable choice

Rate the service if you want to entrust the preparation to the workshop before the bike leaves, if you do not have adequate equipment or if you prefer a direct contact with those who take care of the bike. The advantage is not a generic promise of bikes ready in any packaging, but a professional preparation agreed on the purchased product.

Before ordering ask which operations it includes for the chosen model and which may remain to be completed after transport. Avoid confusing pre-assembly with a delivery without any final operation.

If you choose the original packaging

Open the manufacturer's documentation and check what work is needed. Not all models come out of the box in the same assembly state. If you do not have appropriate expertise or tools, please contact a professional instead of proceeding with attempts.

The choice of size, the compatibility of any accessories and the position on the saddle remain issues to be assessed: the pre-assembling service does not replace a biomechanical evaluation.
